SDS 100 is the smallest particle-size diet in the SDS Scientific Fish Food range and is supplied as a 150 g tub. It is intended as a hatch-size feed for very young fry and is initially semi-buoyant to simulate live feeds, helping to support survival and growth in early life stages.
Particle size
SDS 100 has a particle size of 80-200 micrometres (hatch size). The defined particle size band is intended to maximise the amount of feed each fry can take and to reduce pollution from uneaten particles.
Composition
The diet is based on fish products, cereal grain products and by-products, oils and fats, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Shrimp meal is included across the range as a feed attractant.
Intended species and life stage
Used for zebrafish (zebra danios) and other tropical and temperate fish species, including angels, discus and other cichlids, juvenile danios and catfish. SDS 100 is positioned for very young fry and as an alternative or supplement to Artemia (brine shrimp).
