Altromin 1321F is the fortified powder form of the Altromin 1320 maintenance diet for rats and mice from approximately 8 weeks of age. The fortified specification provides increased vitamin levels to compensate for losses during autoclaving and is suitable for facilities operating with autoclaved feed.

Composition

The diet is based on a fixed cereal formula with wheat, soy and corn. It contains no alfalfa and no fish or animal meal, and is deficient in nitrosamines.

Physical form and treatment

1321F is supplied as a powder. The fortified specification is autoclavable and, on request, can be supplied with a coating to support autoclave processing.

Variants

The 1320 family is also available as phytoestrogen-deficient (P), irradiated and total pathogen free (TPF) variants on request.
